First, I should probably explain who "Little Thumper" is!

That first appointment was one I was nervously anticipating. When the doctor got out the Doppler to find the heartbeat, Caleb and I looked at each other, both listening intently for any sign of that little beat; and then...there it was! Such relief! We tearfully gave each other beaming grins as we listened to that miraculous first sign of life! A few moments later, after the doctor walked out of the room, my dear Caleb looked at me with a smile and said, "Well, Babe...it sounds like we have a little thumper!" And thus, our baby attained his/her first nickname! :)
Being the sentimental/emotional one that I am, I figured that I would be one to take pictures each week as Thumper grew...but let's face it...I look exhausted by the end of the day when Caleb gets home to take a picture...and we don't need those kind of pics for the scrapbook...so I have done some picking and choosing on when to take these pictures documenting the growth of our first child.
I have to laugh now, looking back on the ten week picture, when I was SURE everyone could tell I was expecting because I just felt like I was already putting on weight! Now I see our Thanksgiving picture, where I look like the stuffed turkey and can only vaguely remember what it was like to have a plethora of clothing to choose from, instead of four shirts! :) Ah, how one's perspective changes as one blooms into a VERY (9 month!) expectant momma! :) Now I am content to find ANYTHING that fits...no matter what it looks like!

So here are the few pictures that I have permitted to have taken. I suppose these last few weeks (I would be content with days...) I should take ones each week...but we shall see if that actually happens.
Thanks for sharing this journey with us! We are indeed blessed!
